The heat index is supposed to hit 107 in Raleigh today, which has me thinking about sitting on the beach next week with the following:
1. J.Crew one-piece – mine’s a slightly different color, snagged for $15 at the Asheville clearance center.
2. Heart of the Matter, Emily Giffin – beach reading at its best.
3. Lemonade ice – the kind you feel bad that the person is pushing that heavy cart around, until you realize they’re getting a great workout and a great tan.
Because who doesn’t love the second day of the work week, music and clothes? Also, alliteration is fun.

Therefore, I absolutely love this: Lunch at Ina’s – Blogger/fashion editor Susan Yalof Schwartz went out to Ina’s barn*, where she tapes her show. Don’t miss it.
*I use the term barn loosely.
Which do you prefer?
I have to say, Sonia Dada kills it; there’s something vintagely Temptations-like to the tone of his voice that contrasts well with the acoustic backing.
I love the tune – but I think my loyalties lie more with the song than the (new) singer. Still, I’m looking forward to Jerrod Neimann’s new album, if only because Jamey Johnson penned the song “They Should Have Named Her Cocaine” – if you are too, enter to win it here.

The cover album hits Wal-Mart stores July 20 – I wouldn’t consider myself a Leh-nerd Skin-nerd connoisseur (pronounced kä-nə-ˈsur), but I’m interested to hear Jamey Johnson and Shooter Jennings’ takes.
Disclaimer: When I was little, I saw the word “Arkansas” (Arrrr-Kansas) and was convinced there was a state no one had ever taught me about. So what do I know.
