What: Pink studded belt.
Scored for: 4 bucks at LOFT. I checked out its Fall stuff this week, and there are some real winners.

I’ve really l-o-v-e-d this Alexander Wang Rocco bag for the past year. Along with this love, cue the $875 and 400-person wait list that inevitabily comes with.
Today, on Jen Loves Kev’s blog, I came across this version from Spotted Moth for $54:
Score.
An update to the Little Black Dress – the Little Black Pant.

I’ve been looking for slim dressy pants that aren’t too slim and work with heels or flats – these Gap slim cut crops do both, and clock in at less than $50. I found they run a bit small, so you might want to hit up the actual store and try them on.

What: Black gladiator(ish) heels from the Nine West Outlet in Morrisville.
Scored for: $24.99 on the dot – thanks, N.C. Tax Free Weekend. Another note – thanks to elastic strap inserts, these are actually really comfortable.
The “outlets” near the RDU airport actually consist of Nine West, Off Saks 5th Avenue, a handful of meaningless stores and a room dedicated to a Raleigh model train club. (Although to be honest, everyone in there seemed to be having a blast. I think model train enthusiasts may be some of the happiest folks on earth.) I almost always forget about the Off Saks outlet, which is usually pretty well stocked. On this trip, I came across these DVF jelly gladiators for $25, a gorgeous Lanvin corset for $800 (practically a steal!) and a pretty nice selection of Rebacca Minkoff handbags similar to this baby, only in purple.
When I saw this post over on Jenny’s The Little Green Notebook blog, I pulled a Rachel Zoe and “I diiiied” a bit. It’s a great compilation of fashion magazine cover design, like this little beauty:

It’s a post after my own heart – here are a few ways I’ve reused some of my favorite magazine covers:
1. I got these frames at Home Depot years ago for $5 a pop – no joke, they were special edition Dale Earnhardt, Jr. NASCAR prints. I guess it wasn’t a good year for him on the track? Anyway, they’re matted with some decorative paper from Michaels.
2. Close-up of Sienna – this is the issue The September Issue documentary was filmed around. Oh, and did I tell you I went to the movie’s Durham screening and talked to Durham-native/Vogue editor at large Andre Leon Talley and Vogue creative director Grace Coddington? No? Read about it here.
3. Borderless frames from Target – subscriber covers (like the top and bottom covers) are always so much prettier than their magazine stand sisters. The same is true for Vogue’s foreign versions – the middle one here is Lara Stone on British Vogue. It was a Christmas present from my Mom, who said “I hope you can read it, since it’s not American Vogue.”
