(Yes, I just included People magazine in with that list. Carrie Underwood’s leg workout is NEWS, people.)

Decorate: Before and after
I found this chair at a Goodwill in Myrtle Beach, S.C. close to three years ago. It was low on price and high on potential, but I didn’t get around to doing anything about it ’til just the other day. Black paint, a fieldtrip to the upholsterer for the cushion and a leopard bolster pillow, and all is well.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays, y’all. The Great Gift Hunt of 2011 began and ended on Sunday, a testament to how busy things have been around here. But things have quickly come together before our mountain and Texas adventures begin this weekend and bleed into the new year.
