2008/2009 SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGNS  | N.C. STATE FAIR
As a public information officer at the N.C. State Fair, I helped plan and execute the Fair’s first two social media campaigns. Through Facebook, Twitter, the Deep Fried blog, Flickr, MySpace and YouTube, the Fair increased its community outreach and attendance, facilitated media relations and ramped up pre-Fair buzz. In 2009, we expanded social media efforts through a Deep Fried Ambassador blogger contest and the first Deep Fried Triangle Tweetup.

IN THE FIELD BLOG  |  N.C. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND CONSUMER SERVICES
As a public information officer with the NCDA&CS, I helped create and maintain a blog to promote the people and programs of the department. Through the In the Field blog, Facebook and YouTube, we highlighted how the agency supports the state’s top industry and sought to put faces and names to the people who make up the NCDA&CS.
